Halloween

It's fun being on the other end of the door on Halloween.
Last night Clark and I served candy to the cute Trick or Treaters! We probably had a total of 6 groups stop by our house (2 being our friends, thanks Kyle and Cassie!) One of those being a 5 year old Jimmer Fredette who told me he liked my kitty face (Freaking cutie) But it was way fun non the less!
Did anyone hear about the whole animal escape thing in Ohio that was on the news a few weeks ago?
Well that's who Clark and I dressed up as!
Clark was the crazy guy who released the animals and I am one of the lions haha.

So while we waited we took pics... I tried really hard to look ferocious.

Twenty One.

This last Friday I turned 21. I had an amazing birthday thanks to my friends, families, and Clarky Clark.
On Friday I went to J-Dawgs with some of my old roomies for lunch. It was so nice catching up with them again!
That night Clark and I took an interesting adventure up Hobble Canyon and attempted to go camping. While there Clark cooked up some way good steak and vegetables, mmmm it was soo good! But by the end of the night we weren't feeling that good about the campsite so we decide to go back home around midnight.
We ended the night by watching Ferris Bueler's Day off :)
Clark Surprised me on Saturday, he took me rock climbing (which I have been begging him to take me since before we were married). After rock climbing Clark took me to get a massage. It was such a nice day and I just have the freaking sweetest husband in the World!
Aw i love him he is way too good to me.
On Sunday the Brimhall's had us over for a birthday dinner. It was so nice ending the weekend with them. That cake was absolutely delicious!
Thank you everyone for celebrating my birthday with me!

Probably should have been our sign to turn around...

A Rainy Day.

Today is the first cool rainy day of the fall.
(I think it is appropriate to say it is finally Fall!... which I LOVE fall in Utah but anyway)
It just seems quite perfect to lay in my bed with my lap top and blog away.

Something that I just have to say I am grateful for is my job!... which is THE best college job in the world. I am a TA for Human Development and would highly recommend everyone to take it from Larry Nelson, it will change you and that's all I'm gonna say about that one. But anyway what I really do as a TA is grade papers. Well the paper that students just turned in is an autobiography about how specific events in their lives have changed and developed them into who they are today. This is first of all the hardest paper to grade so far but the most interesting and fulfilling yet. I just get to sit there and read these somewhat personal stories (depending on the student) of how they have become the person they are while getting paid for it! Today I read a paper that literally almost brought me to tears which just made me reflect upon how I am living my life as well as how incredibly blessed I am to have this job. It is fun to read about lives of people and things that they have gone through and grown from. It's truly inspiring. If there is one thing I would recommend to everyone (which I guess I am assuming someone will hopefully read this) who might be feeling bored or a little self absorbed is get to know a person that you don't know very well. Or even get to know a person you do know but learn something new about their lives that you never knew before. I have found once you take the time to focus on someone else you end up learning a lot about life as well as make a really cool close friend.

Another thing I just want to add is the fact that I am so sooo incredibly grateful and lucky to be married to Clark. We have been married exactly 2 months and today was just one of those days that made me reflect upon how happy I am that he is MY husband. I know out of everyone I have ever known Clark is the one for me. He is so perfect for me it's almost crazy. He understands me more than anyone I know and is THE sweetest thing in the world.  I don't want to get too mushy gushy here but it's just been another day that made me so happy for the life I have. I couldn't ask for anything better at this moment. I even pulled out my first mug of hot co co! :) mmhmm life is good.

Oh and btw... I got bangs!

The Sweetest

New born babies are the sweetest most interesting creatures I have ever been around! On the 19th my oldest sister had our first nephew of the family, Max Jess Wiberg. Clark and I went up to Park City on Saturday to meet him before my sister and her family move to North Carolina. I had never spent an entire day with a baby only 5 days old and anyone who hasn't let me just tell you they are sooo interesting! It's just amazing that this little bitty baby is a human being who has an entire life to live. They have so much potential to become anything.( Just an fyi - my major is human development, so how people change and grow overtime is something that I think is very fascinating) It was amazing being with him all day as well as seeing my sister interact with her new baby. This life truly is something special. That moment was just a simple little testimony to me that we do have a loving God who trusts us and allows us to strengthen the world through families. It was really fun for Clark and me to get to experience the blessing of a new born baby this weekend. Don't worry I'm not getting "baby hungry" or anything, but I have to admit I cannot wait until Clark and I can experience the blessing of having our own babies someday :)
Such a sweet little baby! ooo I just LOVE him!
All these little new born babies do is sleep! I don't know if you can tell in this pic but he's a little blondie!... although I think he has a tint of red hair too, such a cutie!
Just getting his nails filed down by his momma, totally lovin' life.
SO SWEET!... I wish I would have gotten a pic of Clark holding him too, it was the most precious thing.
Saying good bye to my big sissy. I spent most of my time with her this summer as I was preparing to get married. She is basically my other mom and I do not know what I would do with out her in my life. I am going to miss her and her sweet family SO much. Have fun in North Carolina Fanny, Love you!
(and can I add that she looks dang good after just having a baby!)

We're Back!

It has been over a month (by two days!) that Clark and I have been married. I thought I would love this whole blogging deal but I have realized it is a little hard to set aside time to share your life with the world when you are in school and planning a wedding... but I think it is finally safe to say, although I need to do homework, I found some time!

{{ First of all, I just want to note the reason why I have this time is because of how HARD of a worker Clark is. He has a way intense schedule of working from 7am to 5pm and then takes evening classes which do not get done until after 8! So during my time doing homework, cleaning the house and making dinner (yes, you can believe it, I am finally becoming a little homemaker!) I also spend a lot of time waiting for Clark to get home }}

Ok, to cut to the chase I have no idea who is even reading this or if I am just jotting my thoughts down for my own pleasure but there is a point to this entry besides having time to write it. This weekend Clark and I spent time with the Brimhalls at Fish Lake, Utah. Clark and I (as well as all of his family) love appreciating the beauty of nature... and Fish Lake is a place to truly see nature at its best. I've always wished everyone could take the time to realize how beautiful the natural world around us is. There are so many stunning sites that no human could possibly replicate. Well, today in my Philosophy class our teacher put up a quote about beauty that really hit me and made me redefine what I think is most beautiful.

"Some say an army on horseback, some, an army on foot,
Others, a navy, of all on this black earth,
Is the most beautiful. I say it is he
Whom you love."
-Sappho

I think out of all the beautiful sites and scenery on earth there is one thing that is more beautiful than any of it... it is the beauty of the person you love. That is the beauty that I hope and wish everyone will see in their lifetime. The confidence of making a commitment to each other and God to love, strengthen, and grow with one another is truly beautiful. It is amazing to me that two people can just agree that the other person is who they want to go through everything in life with. I have found that person. I love Clark more than anything and I am just so grateful that we are married. This month has been very fun, exciting, and new for us. It is fun to live with each other as well as learn even more about the other than we knew before. But more than that it is beautiful. This new life we've brought together is beautiful. Our potential in life together is beautiful. I am grateful for Clark and all he does for us and me, I am grateful that because of him I have finally seen the true meaning of "Beauty".
